Not as commonly known as their sister product RestylaneŽ, PerlaneŽ & Perlane-LŽ are natural-hyaluronic acid cosmetic dermal fillers used to correct fine lines and wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid is a natural component in the body that works to hold moisture in your cells while increasing the elasticity, strength and glow of your skin.
What are PerlaneŽ & Perlane-LŽ and how do they work?
PerlaneŽ & Perlane-LŽ are made from hyaluronic acid-a component found in the body, essential in retaining moisture and volume. PerlaneŽ contains a larger gel particle than it's counter product, RestylaneŽ, making it ideal for deeper injections. PerlaneŽ works to replace lost volume, and smoothes out facial lines and wrinkles. Dr. Dishell will determine which dermal filler, RestylaneŽ or PerlaneŽ will work best for you based on an evaluation of facial and wrinkles and folds.
Perlane-LŽ is the same great dermal filler as PerlaneŽ but contains lidocaine to help make your treatment more comfortable.
PerlaneŽ & Perlane-LŽ are not derived from animal proteins, which limits the risks of allergic reaction, therefore eliminating the need for Dr. Dishell to administer a skin test. You can receive treatment the same day as your consultation. Most patients experience minimal brusing and discomfort. Our staff can apply a topical anesthetic prior to treatment to make you as comfortable as possible. You may notice slight swelling but will notice results immediately.
Results vary in individual patients, but you can anticipate follow up treatments every six months.
